It's summer time and no one wants to turn on the oven when it's so hot. Here is a yummy and healthy no bake treat for you and your little ones!
No Bake Healthy Treats
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 Cup of Nut butter (we love Peanut or Almond!)
- 1/3 Cup Agave or honey
- 1/4 Cup ground flax seed
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Blend or mix together
- Place into bowl
- Mold into desired shape and size treats. (We like about Nickle sized balls for me and my 2 year old, and quarter sized balls for my husband.)
Tips:
- Have fun with this basic recipe and make it your own! If you don't like to use oatmeal grind up some nuts instead.
- Add your favorite dried and chopped fruit.
- Sneak in some SP Green Food from Standard process for Veggie power!
- If the end product is a little to sticky you can either add more oatmeal or nuts to the mix or grind up another 1/4 Cup of the oatmeal or nuts and roll your treats in them.
- Store finished product in airtight container.
